The word "pacifist" is one of those words that everyone uses but no one really knows what it means.

If a "pacifist" is simply a person who prefers, ceteris paribus, the absence of war to the presence of war, then most of us are "pacifists."

If, however, a "pacifist" is someone who believes that the threat or use of force is NEVER JUSTIFIED, under even the most compelling circumstances, even when the threat or use of force could certainly save innocent lives and prevent grave injustice against the most vulnerable, then I think there are very few "pacifists" in the world--or at least, I hope there are.

Would anyone who claims to be such a "pacifist" truly stand motionless while someone killed their own children right in front of them?  If not, then it is not, it seems to me, a question of the threat or use of force vs. the renunciation of force, as 99.9% of human beings would threaten or use force--even deadly force--to protect their own children from grave harm.  Thus, it is not some higher principle as to the use of force, but only a question of whose ox is being gored (or rather, whose family is being killed).  I can appreciate the cost-benefit analysis underlying that way of thinking, but it seems to me to be pragmatism parading as principle--i.e., I would kill to save my own family, but will condemn anyone else who would do the same.

Given this, what does it really mean to be a "pacifist"?

If you lived in Sderot, and your home and family was on the receiving end of daily rocket attacks and shelling from Gaza, would that change your opinion, or would you ask your family to grin and bear it?  Perhaps you would move to new place, and cede Sderot to Hamas?  What would you do when Hamas began launching rockets from Sderot toward your new home?  Would you just move again?

Since Geert Wilders released 'Fitna,' the world's kuffar elites have joined the world's Muslims in falling all over themselves to condemn Wilders and his film.

This is a sickening display of Western cowardice and dhimmitude. How do we find ourselves with these "leaders"? Let's review:
Pim Fortuyn is dead.
Theo van Gogh is dead.
Salman Rushdie lives under constant death threats.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a refugee.
Wafa Sultan is in hiding.
Geert Wilders is threatened with death, lawsuits and prosecution.
This is only a partial list, off the top of my head. There are countless other citizens, journalists, authors, filmmakers and artists who have lost the chance to ever live a normal life thanks to the teachings of a delusional seventh-century warlord who thought the moon god Allah was talking to him. It's fine to believe in your moon god and his "prophet," if it makes you feel better about yourself or whatever, but it is not fine to threaten and kill people for your moon god.

And what do our Western leaders do in response to this lunacy? Nothing. Our Western leaders look the other way as their more "troublesome" citizens and politicians are threatened, attacked and killed. This, sadly, is the world in which we live today. If our dhimmi "leaders" are not replaced, and soon, we will eventually find ourselves with the choice to either submit to Islam or die at the hands of a Muslim executioner. If that is not our fate, it will be the fate of our children.

I've always hoped that my last sight would be to see healthy children and grandchildren around my death bed. I've always hoped that I would pass from this Earth secure in the knowledge that I'd handed the next generation a world better and freer than the one I myself came into. As things are going now, I'm doubtful that will be the future if we don't change things in a very serious way.

If we do not draw the line here, where do we draw it? We can either stand in defiance or bow in submission. We have no other option. You make your own choice, but I will stand with this Geert Wilders, and the next Geert Wilders, and the next one after that.

For this moment, you need no sword, or shield, or spear to stand up for freedom. You need only to speak up. You need only to exercise your free will while you still have it. If you do nothing else for freedom today, you can at least click here and sign the petition supporting Geert Wilders.

To: The Dutch Government

WHEREAS Geert Wilders has exercised his fundamental human right of freedom of expression and spoken out, with facts and evidence, of the threat posed by radical Islam;

WHEREAS certain elements within Islamic communities have threatened a boycott of Dutch goods if Geert Wilders is not punished by the Dutch government for exercising his freedom of expression; and

WHEREAS certain elements in Dutch industry and the Dutch government are suggesting that Geert Wilders be prosecuted civilly or criminally, in order to prevent such a boycott;

IT IS RESOLVED that, in the event that the Dutch government attempts, in any way, to punish or prosecute Geert Wilders, civilly or criminally, for exercising his freedom of expression, the undersigned will initiate a boycott of any and all Dutch goods.
